Yin is the stable, unmoving, hidden aspect of an object. Yang is the changing, moving, revealing aspect of an object. These two aspects always coexist~there is never one without the other.
Excersises that create a gentle traction of the connective tissue are yin. As important it is for our physical and mental well being to be strong, it is not the muscular strength that gives us the feeling of ease and lightness in the body, it is the flexibility in our joints.
If we never bend our knees and stretch our spines, the connective tissue is going to shorten to accommodate our movements. If we want to maintain our joints flexibility, we must exercise them. But we should not exercise them like muscles, we must exercise them in a yin way.
~Paul Grilley
In Yin, the muscles must be relaxed. We use gravity and props, comfy bolsters and blankets so you can settle into the first edge. And then be still. Postures are held from 3-12 minutes. This is not a restorative yoga class.
Yin Yoga for the Gals. Experience a nurturing 90-minute Yin Yoga session exclusively for women on the last Friday of the month at 7 PM, enhanced with the calming energy of Reiki. Enjoy the practice as we hold postures for 4-8 minutes, incorporating hand mudras, intention setting, and concluding with a blissful savasana and meditation in the tranquil environment of Holos House.

Each 75-minute session weaves gentle, long-held Yin postures with deep breathwork and a restorative guided meditation at the end. Every week explores a different theme—such as surrender, self-love, acceptance, or transforming suffering—inviting reflection, renewal, and emotional release.

Step into this new season with ease and intention. Just as the trees let go of their leaves, we, too, are invited to release what no longer nourishes us. This fall detox is a chance to shed the old, lighten the spirit, and welcome the calm clarity of what’s to come.
